Complimentary Insurance cover

Your entry fee includes basic insurance cover for participants and the rickshaw, as well as 3rd party damage. Entrants are advised to arrange their own comprehensive insurance, as personal effects and acute medical care are not included.

Auto rickshaw use during the rally

The use of the auto rickshaw is, naturally, included in your entry fee. A deposit of (750 euros) will be refunded to participants upon the return of the auto rickshaw at the completion of the rally, excluding any deductions for loss or damage.

Free additional luggage haulage service

The autorickshaw has no secure space or locker compartments, so all valuable and personal effects can be safely stored in on of our support vehicles. Materials for distribution to villages which are too bulky for the modest tuk-tuk can also be stored in the support vehicles.

Auto rickshaw orientation and driving lessons

The Autorickshaw is extremely easy to operate, but basic instruction will be given to ensure drivers are familiar with its use. Tip and advice will also be given on road safety in India.

Complimentary travel guides

Each team will be issued with useful guide material that contains all the details of areas along the route. These guides will help participant’s appreciate items of interest and beauty as they encounter them, as well as café, restaurant, and hotel information.

Free maps on paper and on GPS

Comprehensive navigation material will be issued to each team, even thought each days route is typically very straightforward. The paper maps will give participants clear instructions, but additional GPS co-ordinates will be given to teams that have GPS devices.

Sponsor gifts

The teams will be issued with whatever gifts and goodwill items the sponsors of the rally have donated, for the teams to disperse along the route as they see fit.

Permits and letters of recommendation

The need for official documentation in the rally is mercifully small, but all teams will have fully approved and processed visas and permits with the help of the Indian ARC organisation. Any team requiring a letter of recommendation to authenticate and legitimise fund raising activities prior to the event will be issued with copies upon request.

Teams will receive free t-shirts, badges, hats and backpacks, enabling them to proudly display their participation during the rally and forever after.

Free transportation Autorickshaw back to start point.

An autorickshaw will be supplied to each team that wishes to return to the start point by road, subject to a deposit.

Free transportation back to Chennai ( By Air-conditioned Train or Bus)

Transportation for all competitors’ is included in the entry fee. After hundreds of miles on the road by tuk-tuk, this will very likely seem like the very height of opulent luxury to many competitors!
