INDIAN AUTO RICKSHAW CHALLENGE 2006 - DAY SIX:

Day 6

Today participants had to reach Courtallam. They set off from Tuticorin around 9:00 am. This leg was flagged off by the Tuticorin Superindent of Police Mr. Nicholson. The day’s rally started in a convoy which proceeded in the same manner till they reached THE FARM, a check point in the day’s schedule.

THE FARM provided an exhilarating experience for the participants. They were served a local drink which is unique to places down south in India. They also enjoyed a shower there. After spending some time they left for Courtallam

Participants had to stop in between at fuel stations to avoid an empty petrol tank en voyage. Sure, they have become smarter and have infact learnt a lesson for life. It was on the way when the team Curry in a hurry had a tumble- too much for a day. It resulted in the front glass panel shattering. They had to continue with no glass in the front to shield them.

It was late afternoon before the participants could reach Courtallam. They decided to spend the evening indoors and rest for the next day. It was a silent evening at the Hotel’s and a late night swim at the pool.
