INDIAN AUTO RICKSHAW CHALLENGE 2006 - DAY SEVEN:

Day 7

This was the last day of the amazing race. One must just look at the excited faces of the participants to guess the adventure and fun they had for the last one week. Today they had to go across several challenge tasks along the undulating terrain.

It is mighty to notice locals inspired and gaping at the rally in awe through the entire stretch. What big an applause than people staring at you n wonder and appreciation. The participants stopped at Papanasam Dam, Manimuthir falls and other stops on their way.

Team Overdrive was the first and the only team to be out of the competition. Overdrive participants met up with a major accident. The engine would not move and they had to take a lift and as a result qualified to be out. Anyway participants are safe after the accident.

The flag down was at Hotel Singaar International, Kanyakumari in the evening. It was followed by an award ceremony where the team Pukka Tuk Tuk were declared the auto rickshaw world champions 2006. They were the highest scorers among the 16 participating teams. They were given the trophy- an auto rickshaw mud guard. All the participants were given a memento- an auto rickshaw horn and a participation certificate.

And the ceremony was not the end. What ensued was a thrilling party with gallons of drinks and loads and loads of fun.
