Tasks for the daily challenge:

1. Fill fuel at the Kannan Fuel Station, Ambasamudram and get the bill
2. Visit the Sorimuthu temple to answer what is Shiva holding in his hands on the gates to the temple and what animal is holding a flag on the left and right of Shiva
3. Go to the dam and tell us how long it is!
4. Go to the Marimuthir falls and click a picture
5. Fill petrol at the Kalaikkadu petrol station – Parvatham Agencies and get the bill
6. Visit Panaikkudi police station and find out it’s speciality


If a team doesn’t stop at compulsory points, a fine of double the points is placed.

If you do not finish in time, deduction of 5 pts for every late minute- Maximum 200 points deletion.

Finally the last day of the adventure. There will be a compulsory checkpoint along with 2 bonus stages. This day you should really be careful about your driving because you will be passing through towns where people are just simply suicidal. They will literary jump under your rickshaw. The last thing you want to do is run someone over, so take it easy and be careful

Task#1-Fill petrol
at the Kannan Fuel Station, immediately after the railway crossing at Ambasamudram and collect the payment bill

Task #2 – Sorimuthu Ayannar Temple
in the Kalakad-Mundandurai Tiger Sanctuary

Find the Sorimuthu Ayannar Temple and answer the following questions:

1. What is Shiva holding in his hands on the gates to the temple?
2. What animal is holding a flag on the left and right of Shiva?


HOW TO GET THERE

Drive out of Kuttalam to Tenkasi. After about 5km there will be a turn to the right to Tirunelveli. Further on the outskirts of Tenkasi you will need to go to the right again to the Tiger Sanctuary. The turn is located at N08d56.719 E077d19.399. There is a dim board with a Tiger on the turn so look for it.

Be very careful in the town of Mukuden as pedestrians have a tendency to jump under your car and die.

In Ambur, at N08d45.695 E077d24.220 you will see a signpost pointing to Papanasam 7km. You will need to take a right there.

In Papanasam at N08d42.916 E077d22.501 take a right. There is a water tower standing at the turn.

You will then get to the actual Tiger sanctuary. The entrance fee is 50 rupees per rickshaw. There will be another checkpoint afterwards where you’ll need to pay 15 Rps per person to enter.

Keep on driving through the sanctuary and you will then need to take a left turn to the temple. It is located at N08d39.784 E077d20.041. The temple is 1.2 kms from the main road. It is located here N08d39.239 E077d20.184.

Task #3 Find the Dam
For extra points find the dam which holds the water of Panithirtam and tell us how long it is! You might need to go there by foot as sometimes they don’t let cars in or you’ll need to bribe the gateman.


Task #4 Find the Marimuthir waterfalls

HOW TO GET THERE

Leave the Tiger sanctuary the same way you came. 28kms from the Temple at the Marimuthir junction you’ll need to go to the right. The point is located here N08d40.848 E077d28.082.


At N08d40.134 E077d27.784 take another right in the fork on the road. There will be a milestone there saying “4” on it. At the next fork in the road, go straight.

In Marimuthir go straight past the police station. There are fees for entrance. 15 Rps/person,25 Rps/vehicle, 2000 Rps/cinema camera, 150 Rps/normal camera, 25 Rps/still camera. The place closes at 5 so make sure you are there early.

The actual waterfalls are located at N08d37.144 E077d24.741. They are 13 kms from the highway.

Task #5 Kalaikkadu Petrol station

Fill petrol at the Kannan Fuel Station, immediately after the railway crossing at Ambasamudram and collect the payment bill.

Task #6 Panagudi Police Station

Find the police station and find out what is so special about that place.

At N08d40.692 E077d33.507 take a right. On the next roundabout take another right. There are 2 water towers standing.




The Panagudi Police Station is located at N08d19.486 E077d34.749.
