  THE AUTORICKSHAW THE BEAUTIFUL BEAST:

The autorickshaw is a thing of simple beauty. Great gas efficiency and a small size that lends to urban journeys is what will make this vehicle worthwhile. Speeds can reach as high as 55 km/h. If you break down, don't worry about it. Rickshaws are easy to fix and it won't be difficult to find some spare parts no matter what part of India you are in. It can seat up to 3 people.

The Mighty Engine

For our purposes we will be looking at the most common single cylinder, two stroke forced air cooled engine. The maximum power these relatively primitive engines can attain is 7 horse power (HP) @ 5000 RPM. If you've ever paid attention to motors before you'll recognize those figures as being slightly... wacky.
