Only 50,270 autorickshaws of the 75,480 have recalibrated meters
BANGALORE: The Legal Metrology Department will conduct verification of autorickshaw meters from July 24 to July 28 in the city, according to a press release from the department. The verification drive comes after the department received several complaints from the public about autorickshaw meters not being recalibrated in accordance with the recent fare increase recommended by the Bangalore District Regional Transport Authority.

BANGALORE: An autorickshaw driver allegedly assaulted a driver of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) as the bus driver "did not give way" to the autorickshaw in Magadi Road Police Station limits on Saturday.
