ARAVIND KUMAR BREMANANDAM

Aravind Kumar Bremanandam, an expatriate Indian entrepreneur, studied at Madras Christian College- Chennai, and has maintained that institutions fine traditions of leadership and of enterprise. At this early stage of his career Aravind’s ability to organize large scale events became evident, as he instigated symposiums, cultural events and academic groups within the University. The work ethic that he developed in his native Tuticorin (known as the Pearl City) and his education made him want to expand the scope of his experience and interests overseas. After many successful international ventures, Mr Bremanandam now resides in Budapest, Hungary where he uses his experience as a managing director of an international marketing company.

It is a combination of this global conscience, a passion for his homeland, and keen organizational abilities that have spurred Aravind on to found some of the most amazing international charity events in the world today

Aravind has participated in and helped to organize many high-profile international events around the world, such as the annual Budapest-Bamako rally, and is consulting on events in locations as diverse as Central America, South East Asia, and Nicaragua. It was whilst acting as an authority on such events that it came to Aravind’s attention that the media attention these adventures attracted could be harnessed for humanitarian causes. . His expertise in managing large scale events puts him in constant demand right across the world, but it his passion for the spirit of adventure and humanitarian projects that keep him focused on non-profit rallies.

Aravind’s experience in dealing with the media across a range of print and broadcast mediums meant that an international event could be held that not only captured the imagination of international adventurers, but would also be in the media spotlight. This event would attract the most vibrant, mobile, and fun loving individuals from across the world to participate in not only an adventure, but a great humanitarian mission. The attention of the world media was bound to follow, and a reciprocal relationship grew where greater coverage would mean greater charitable success, which in turn would further enlarge the events coverage.

The event itself is unlike any other in the world today. The Indian Autorickshaw Challenge is one of the premier fixtures in the international amateur adventurer’s calendar, and brings not only excitement but social awareness to the fore. Not only does the event bring a great deal of humanitarian aid to needy areas, but it is also a showcase for the vibrant Indian culture that has always been Aravind’s first love. The star of this amazing international event is a vehicle that has become a cultural icon of the industrious and vibrant Indian continent – the humble Autorickshaw, or ‘Tuk-Tuk’.

Aravind sensed that the Autorickshaw had been ignored by the attention of the world for the unique cultural artifact that it was. He perceived that such a simple vehicle not only encapsulated the Indian experience, but was a focal point that visitors from around the world could get to grips with, and experience for themselves. All natives from India, both rich and poor alike have had an experience with an auto rickshaw. The wealthy may have encountered it as a taxi or a delivery service, laborers as the workhorse of the Indian roadways, and the poor as the only affordable transport they can attain. All levels of Indian society identify with this humble vehicle, and it is Aravind intention to promote it as a cultural icon for visitors around the world to really connect with. The Autorickshaw deserves recognition, not just for its dependability and fuel economy, or what it means to India as a while, but also as fantastic fun to drive and the perfect vehicle for an escapade.

The participants of these rallies come as adventurers, but leave as cultural envoys and goodwill ambassadors that spread awareness of the true beauties of India wherever they go. Mr Bremanandam is extremely proud to dedicate his valuable and in-demand expertise, and to be associated with the Indian Autorickshaw Challenge, and invites everyone to join him to experience a truly unique event in the heartland of India.
